SCHOLARSHIP & INTERNSHIP STIPEND AWARDS

Building a More Inclusive Behavioral Healthcare System

Our scholarship and internship stipend awards support graduate students from diverse backgrounds studying to become clinical behavioral health clinicians in Rhode Island. Supporting today’s students will create a more inclusive and diverse system of care, thus increasing access to care for under-represented groups.

Eligible Criteria

  • United States citizen, DACA Student, National, or hold an immigration visa
  • Enrolled in full-time or part-time graduate studies at University of Rhode Island, Johnson & Wales University, Providence College, Roger Williams University, Brown University & Salve Regina University
  • Pursuing Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Ph.D. in Psychology, or Psychiatry Degree programs
  • Recommended GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Must be in a clinical track, not policy or administration
  • Commitment to practicing in Rhode Island upon graduation and licensure
  • Belong to one or more of the following groups: People from minority racial or ethnic groups (e.g., Black, Indigenous, People of Color), Speakers of English as a Second Language, LGBTQ+ Individuals, People with disabilities
